High Lodge

Just a trip up the road to High Lodge this weekend.

The sun was beaming down, and as we arrived nice and early (before 10am) parking was not an issue.

Because we tend to push it a bit hard on our bikes, that and my son took a friend with him. We decided not to take our bikes. From past experience I have found it best not to take someone Else's children back to them damaged.

We spent 4 hours playing on the various pieces of equipment, but one thing did worry me.

Please let me know what you think.

Is this the scariest looking squirrel in the world?

Wet Suit

Just to let you know I have just purchased a new shortie wet suit from M & M Direct. It is made by Kangaroo Poo. It cost me the bargain price of £24.45

I just thought this was a great deal, and maybe it would help someone save some money.

Any how, here is the link.

Kayak or Sit-on Top

Help, Help, Help.

My fiance has kindly offered to replace my rather ageing kayak with a new one. We went to look at some a week ago and now I am stuck with the dilemma of Kayak or Sit-on Top.

My thoughts are the kayak would be better for lone adventures, but our 2 boys want to start kayaking and the sit-on top is impossible to get stuck in should you capsize. I also thought that if me and my boys want to go out for a few hours they can sit on the front and back of the sit-on top while I paddle away happily.

Also, in either category which would be the best purchase? I am quite taken with the excite range. As shown here.

Should anyone have any thoughts on this please fell free to post them.

Mountain Biking In Thetford Forest

This has to be one of our favorite things to do. We are blessed with living in the middle of Thetford Forest, a beautiful and interesting area. We are members of the High Lodge forest centre, which is home to fantastic forest trails, a park for the children and specialist cycle routes, not to mention the infamous Go Ape.

We have found that the red cycle route is a comfortable route for me, my partner and our 2 boys aged 6 & 3. I must confess that I do pull the youngest on a trail-gator, but never-the-less I think I have 2 young adrenaline junkies in training.
